Prototype: An overhead line rosette – also called a house rosette, wall rosette, wall anchor, wall iron, overhead line hook or, in Austria, a wall rosette – is a special form of overhead wire suspension on trams and trolleybuses, and more rarely on railways. The rosettes, usually made of cast iron, are used to anchor or brace the overhead line to the buildings of the streets they pass through. They are always used when overhead line masts cannot be erected for spatial reasons (for example, narrow streets) or aesthetic reasons.
