Model: TT gauge DC. 4-part double-decker unit without control compartment of the DR.Prototype: After the Second World War, the Deutsche Reichsbahn was faced with the challenge of having to quickly cope with large traffic flows in the conurbations due to the beginning reconstruction of industry. Therefore, from 1952, new and for that time modern double-decker trains were procured. By 1974, 152 four-car trains from various construction lotsboth with and without a control compartmenthad been put into service. During the course of their service life, the color scheme of the double-decker trains changed several times. Units delivered in the 1950’s were originally dark green with a gray roof and black frame. The lettering «DEUTSCHE REICHSBAHN» adorned the side walls. At the beginning of the 70s, the frame was also painted green and the lettering on the side walls gave way to a logo depicting a stylized impeller. With the introduction of a new color concept in the 1980s, a lighter shade of green was used and the roof was painted fawn brown.
