Model: HO gauge DC. New design of the modernised IC coaches.Prototype: After 40 years of IC connections in Germany, the rolling stock was a mixed bag. With the «IC mod.» project, DB AG wanted to put an end to this state of affairs and had some sample conversions carried out from 2009. From 2012, the series conversion began in the Kassel, Neumünster and Nuremberg repair workshops, with the coaches receiving new interior furnishings to ICE standard, new doors, air conditioning and wiring.
