Model: HO gauge. Combine harvester progress E514 Harlequin used. The model is highly detailed and features a pivoting crop chute and is printed in a two-part colourway.
Prototype: The E514 combine harvester (built in 1982) is the successor model to the E512, which has been improved in many details. It is a self-propelled harvester for threshing grain, oilseeds and legumes. The basic concept with regard to the drives was largely retained. However, compared to its predecessor, the E514 has a powerful 125 hp engine to meet the expected energy needs. The headers are available in widths of 3.60 m, 4.20 m (model size for the Busch model), 4.80 m and 5.70 m. Grain lifters, unloading aids (for heavy-flowing crops), straw rippers, automatic steering and stone guards for headers, to name the most important. Also new was the harvest on-board computer, which makes it possible to achieve optimal utilization of the combine harvester by measuring losses, measuring the harvest area, harvest time, driving speed, including data processing, in order to keep losses below 1%. The combine harvester manufactured by the VEB Kombinat progress agricultural machines was still produced after the reunification.
