This runs on the directional track of a main line with a heavy, high-quality express train from the 1930s. The baggage car behind the steam locomotive even has a central roof pulpit. On the opposite track, the viewer recognizes what is probably the most distinctive type of distant signal in the railway world. It is also affectionately known as a “fried egg”. The steam train has just passed under a large viaduct, which is also used by a main line. However, from an electrified one! The SBB’s «Köfferli», Ce 6/8 I, also known as the mother of the legendary «SBB Crocodile» Ce 6/8 II or III, runs on this route with a never-ending, mixed freight train. A suitable caption could be: Swiss electrics meet Austrian steam giants. What is also noteworthy is the fact that series 12 of the BBÖ is shown on some historical Märklin catalog titles of that time; the model was manufactured from 1928 to 1936, i.e. it was brand new at that time and was still in production, but the locomotive was nevertheless but never realized as a model by Märklin.
